Your fans deserve to see your film.On your terms.

Cinesoft is where independent filmmakers release direct to fans on a storefront they own, with an audience they keep.

Process

Go live in three steps.

We handle the infrastructure. You handle the release.

  1. 01

    We build your storefront

The Cinesoft team builds your branded storefront for you. Your brand, your domain, your identity. Not a template you have to fight.

  2. 02

    You supply your film

Send us your film, trailer, key art, and credits. We handle encoding and delivery, so you don't spend the week before launch debugging a video pipeline.

  3. 03

    Fans rent or buy directly

Share your storefront link with your fans, your mailing list, and your socials. They rent or buy your film directly from you, and every customer relationship stays yours.

Origin

Born out of real-world use cases.

Cinesoft is release infrastructure for independent film and long-form video. Built inside real productions, not retrofitted from generic commerce or streaming tools.

Independent film crew working on set during production

Built within real productions

Cinesoft was built to distribute real productions to a live audience, inside strict release windows. No hypotheticals.

Shaped by how the industry actually runs

Working alongside real projects rooted Cinesoft in how talent, representatives, studios, and production companies actually operate. The product reflects that, and so do the partnerships.

Proof

Built and shipped. Not pitched.

This is that build, now shipped as a product.

Your film. Your storefront. Your audience.

Audiences are watching directly from the creators they trust at a pace the industry hasn't seen before. The old distribution model. Wait for a streamer, hope for terms. Wasn't built for that. Cinesoft is. You control the release. You control the marketing. You account for every dollar. And most importantly, you own the relationship with the people who came for the work.

Who it's for

One platform. Three kinds of partners.

01

Filmmakers & studios

Independent features, docs, and series that deserve a real release. Cinesoft is the infrastructure to launch direct. With the catalog, payments, and audience data set up for a real business, not a one-off launch.

02

Long-form creators

You built your audience on social media. Cinesoft runs alongside it as the paid layer for the work your most loyal fans want to pay for. Free content stays where the audience found you. Paying customers come to a storefront that's yours.

03

Agencies, managers & production companies

Representing a roster or multiple titles? Cinesoft is one operating system across every release. One login, one billing relationship, one place to manage every storefront your team launches.

Questions

What filmmakers ask us.

What is Cinesoft?

Cinesoft is a direct-to-fan video commerce platform based in Denver, Colorado. We build branded storefronts where your audience can rent or buy your film directly from you. You keep ownership of your work and your audience data.

How can filmmakers sell movies directly to fans?

Put your film on a storefront you control and send the link to your audience. With Cinesoft, our team builds that storefront for you. Fans rent or buy your film there, and you keep the relationship with every buyer.

What is a direct-to-fan video storefront?

It is a branded website where viewers pay to watch your film directly from you, not through a third-party streaming service. It carries your name and your artwork. The list of people who buy belongs to you.

Can filmmakers sell film rentals and purchases on their own website?

Yes. A Cinesoft storefront supports both rentals and purchases of your film. It is branded to you and built around your release.

Who owns the audience data when using Cinesoft?

You do. Every buyer's email and purchase history is first-party data that belongs to you. You keep it whether or not you stay on Cinesoft.

Can film distributors and production companies use Cinesoft?

Yes. Production companies, distributors, and agencies use Cinesoft to release films for their clients or their catalog. Each storefront is branded to the individual film or client.

How does Cinesoft differ from traditional film distribution platforms?

Cinesoft is not a distributor and never takes rights to your work. On traditional platforms, the platform owns the customer. On Cinesoft, you do, and you decide how your release runs.

How do viewers find my film?

Cinesoft is built for filmmakers who already have an audience. It is not a discovery platform. Your storefront is a link you send your fans, your mailing list, and your socials.

Why use Cinesoft instead of Vimeo, Gumroad, or my own site?

Cinesoft is built only for film and long-form video releases. Your film streams with studio-standard DRM, and release windows like a pre-sale or premiere are built in. Our team builds the storefront for you, so you are not stitching it together from generic tools.

How does renting work?

Rentals last 48 hours from first play. Viewers buy with an email address and get a watch link, with no account or password needed. Purchases don't expire.

How do I get started?

Book a call with our team. We'll look at your film and your audience and tell you if Cinesoft fits your release. If it does, we build your storefront and you approve it before launch.

More answers for viewers and partners are on the Cinesoft FAQ page.
